Ericsson Completes Acquisition of Vonage!
Ericsson has officially announced that they have completed their acquisition of Vonage. Rich Technology Group has been covering this news for a while, but after the statement from Vonage and Ericsson, it has now been officially confirmed.
Ericsson’s official press release has stated that as of July 21, 2022, Vonage has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Ericsson. There was a time when Ericsson ranked on the charts; because of its new cell phone launches and similar products. People mostly know them because of their phones and cell phone devices; however, they also want to cover other niches in the market.

Covering the description in detail, it has been stated that with Vonage on board:
Ericsson will create a market for easy-to-adopt Global Network Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in order to drive a new wave of digitization.
Vonage already has a developed market when it comes to the utilization of APIs to connect with CRMs or mailing systems. However, with this acquisition, Ericsson will probably be looking to enhance Vonage’s API capabilities.
Ericson’s official press release also stated that it would generate near-term synergies with Vonage, by bringing Vonage Unified Communications as a Service (UCAS) and Contact Center as a Service (CCAS) to its existing customers. With this, the current CEO of Vonage, i.e., Rory Reed, is now appointed member of Ericsson’s executive team.

With this acquisition, Rich Technology Group expects an increase in the amount of APIs provided by Vonage. Rich Technology Group receives plenty of calls from people looking for customized integration needs that they cannot get with current Vonage’s APIs. Although there are plenty of APIs to cover mainstream CRM support, there still is a need for quite a few to integrate with not-so-popular CRMs, which are expected to be developed after this acquisition phase is completed.

Vonage’s customer service. It is no secret that Vonage’s customer service ratings have suffered greatly since late 2020. We hope that Rich Technology Group hopes this acquisition brings out the best in both companies. Both of these companies are well-known.
