Leitner LH375 Headset Review – My thoughts after 1 month’s use!
About a month ago, Rich Technology Group published a video named “Leitner LH375 Wireless Headset Unboxing & First Impressions” that explained the general outlook of the headset, the unboxing experience, and its overall comparison with the previous Leitner LH270.
Leitner LH375 Headset Review – My thoughts after 1 month’s use!
After a month of using Leitner LH375, Rich Technology Group has shared its honest thoughts about the product and has recommended it to a suitable set of people. Read on as below is a complete detailed analysis, pros, cons, and suitable recommendations.
Pros and Cons
PROS
As a single-ear headset seems a bit uncomfortable to use, having the dual-ear feature in Leitner LH375 is an absolute treat. |
It can be regarded as a 3 in 1 device because a user can switch between Bluetooth, hook switch, and computer easily using buttons on the base. |
The dual-ear is preferred to use for media and entertainment so having that in a calling headset is a big plus. |
Leitner LH375 itself is very comfortable and gives an almost similar feel to Leitner LH270. |
The quality, build, and overall experience is also similar to the previous model. |
It can connect to an IP phone, tablet, television, or any other Bluetooth device. |
Typically, most people would use this headset for a cell phone but because of its easy connectivity features. |
It can be used on different platforms conveniently. |
On the back of the Leitner LH375 base, there are a few different plugins and interfaces but the most important are the two ports that can be used to connect the hook switch. |
Hookswitch is the cable that allows a user to typically connect the base of any kind of headset so you can answer and hang up calls easily. |
There is a plug-in DC-type adaptor on the top to plug the base into the wall. |
CONS
If a detailed comparison of all the headsets is conducted, Leitner LH270 will have the best sound quality without questions. This is not the case with Leitner LH375 because of its average sound quality. |
Although the audio quality seems great on phone calls, there can be average results if the headsets are used to listen to media files such as music, videos, etc. |
The Bluetooth quality of Leitner LH375 does not work well on calls that were expected of it. |
Let’s unbox the Leitner LH375 Dual Ear DECT Wireless Headset w/ 3-in-1 base!
Rich Technology Group contacted Leitner support in this regard and found out that most users have had better success when the headset is connected to the phone via USB rather than Bluetooth.
Rich Technology Group has tested this headset with the hot-favorite Polycom CCX 600 and all-time great Yealink T48S. As both these phones are Bluetooth capable, the connection and sound quality of Leitner LH375 were tested to be lacking. Also, during the calls, the other person’s voice on the headset was echoing so it is a problem.
- Although it is not as good as the previous Leitner LH270, the hookswitch, call hangup/decline, and dual-ear has made it worth the try.
- One other issue regarding the call is that whenever the headset is connected to the computer, the option to hang up calls from the base would not work consistently.
- Even if the call on the other end got canceled, the call kept having a tapping sound so it can be a problem with the hook switch.
- Leitner headsets typically have some of the best noise cancellation capabilities but for this model, the noise cancellation didn’t seem on par with previous models.
- Finally, the one thing that is a bit problematic with this headset is the average-level sound quality.
- Although it is fine for audio and video calls, it is not great for listening to media such as music or video.
- As it sounds robotic otherwise, it seems that the headset is designed just to serve audio call needs.
Where to Buy Leitner LH375
Conclusion:
If you do not want to use the headset for music and media and your primary purpose of using them is good quality calls, it can be a good choice for you. Also, switching easily between a computer and an IP Phone is a bonus. As it does have noise cancellation with a dual headset, it is recommended for that particular set of people.
This headset retails at around $349 on Amazon, headset.com, and other online marketplaces.
