Poly VVX 450 IP Phone is ideal for front desk receptionists or office managers for handling incoming and outgoing calls, routing, and call flows. Almost all the major service providers support it, and it has all the features; necessary to carry out streamlined business operations.

First Impressions of Poly VVX 450- Review​

Poly VVX 450 IP Phone is a big brother of the Poly VVX 250 and Poly VVX350 because it shares the same chassis, and it looks almost identical to the phone models of these series. However, it is a bit bigger and offers 12-line capability compared to the 4 and 6-line capability of Poly VVX 250 and Poly VVX350.

There are no obvious differences; however, the Poly VVX 450 IP Phone can connect to a Poly expansion card; Called VDX EM50, and basically, it is a digital expansion module that can be connected to the side of the phone. Because of the line transfer capabilities of this phone, it is ideal for people dealing with a lot of calls. So, to deal with a large volume of calls, it can be used for efficiency.

 

Interfaces and Outlets


Poly VVX 450 IP Phone has a really big and colorful screen. Although it does not support touch,  however, it has plenty of options and easy usability. It has the typical function keys, 12 line capability with six lines on each side, so with the right service provider, you can use it for a shared line appearance. Also, the additional EM50 expansion module can be connected to it for 36 or 48 additional line capability for transfer.

Like other Poly phones, the Poly VVX 450 IP Phone has a pretty typical list of buttons that include back and home buttons, transfer a call, go to voicemail button, put a call on hold button, and volume up and down button. There is a dialing keypad for dialing, and next to it, there are headset activate and mute buttons.

On the back of the Poly VVX 450 IP Phone, there is an AC Adaptor port, Power over Ethernet (POE), Gigabit passthrough, Rj-9 headset jack, and 2 USB ports on the side.

The Poly VVX 450 has a 4.3-inch LCD screen with a 480 by 272 pixels resolution. It has an adjustable base height and two USB ports that are 2.0-compliant and can be used for media storage applications and headsets. This phone supports Poly HD Voice technology, and it works not only for the handset but also for the speakerphone, and it can transmit HD audio with a compatible headset.

Poly VVX 450 IP Phone is a 12-line capable phone which allows programmable keys. Some of its main features include a busy lamp field, call waiting, call timer, call transfer, call hold, redial, do not disturb, one-touch speed dial, electronic hook switch capability, distinctive incoming ring, local three-way audio calling, shared calls bridge line appearance, and remote missed call notification.

Poly VVX 450 IP Phone is very well matured in the market. Although Poly has a lot of newer phones in the market, there are a lot of clients that still prefer to go with this one.
Poly VVX 450 IP Phone is supported by most providers, some of which are Vonage, Nextiva, RingCentral, DialPad, Zoom Phone, Onsip, and many more.
Poly VVX 450 IP Phone has got a lot of USB support. Even though it is not a wireless phone, it has USB ports and other interfaces to connect headsets with a cable.
Poly VVX 450 IP Phone can be connected with the EM50 expansion module.
Poly VVX 450 IP Phone does not have built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth support.
