In this interview, Reginald covered the details regarding how Vonage evolved with time and what is there to offer in the future.

Some of the questions asked by Rich Technology Group and their answers by Reginald Scales are given below.

What Vonage has done in the past up, to this point to build this brand?

“Vonage was the original disrupter in the communication business. We are the first Voice over IP provider to business to client and that was disruptive. If you go back to our historical days of the whistle commercial, you’ll know that we actually changed the way people communicated and also took advantage of saving for at least a decade. That’s our past, our foundation, and what we have become.

Our present today is making that transition from residential or business to business to business with not only a stream of acquisitions. We had the Nexmo acquisition, new voice media acquisition, and Over AI acquisition coupled with our intellectual property. We can say that today, we are one of the only suppliers that can offer the Vonage communications platform which offers unified communication, contact center, APIs, AI, and building value for not only our customers but for our partners like Rich Technology Group. This has changed the game and that is what we are going to continue in the future.

We have the applications layer that is now coupled with a 5G security workspace as a service that owns the desktop, backend, and disruption. That’s the core of what it is we are doing and we are so happy about it and it is something everybody should be aware of. If you are not working with Vonage, you are missing out on the opportunity to disrupt the industry and add value to yourself and your customers.”  –Reginald Scales

How Vonage is helping the remote workforce in the present?

“Vonage was first because of its intellectual property and the journey we’ve taken to build a business. First and foremost, having the ability to spin up UC seats quickly, CC, API development, etc. is something that recreates a remote workforce. People are now hoteling so they need the opportunity to be able to pop up and work from anywhere at any time on any device and we are making that happen here at Vonage. That has been a tremendous benefit to our business and we were pioneering that change.

People are taking advantage of the technology that we offer and it’s disrupting how they work. Sure they are going back to the office but they are taking a hard look as if they need to decide do they need to do it. So we are seeing hybrid networks and a hybrid work environment, all based upon what it is we are offering.”

The Future of Vonage

“We have the ability through our intellectual property that we’ve built over our journey in terms of technology and our solution stack to be able to be the most flexible. We are the only company that owns integrations into the desktops whether it be Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Slack, etc. We also own a software-based communication platform that allows us to spin up UC and CC APIs at a drop of a dime.

As business changes and as things happen considering the world events, it’s those who own the technology and won’t necessarily need to depend on partnerships to make things happen but having the ability to do it through their intellectual property puts them at the forefront of any change that can come and that’s what Vonage is bringing to the marketplace. You can always count on Vonage to be disruptive and as the world changes and the need changes, we will be there to help you get through it.” –
