First Impressions
Yealink CP965 Conference IP Phone has a beautiful and futuristic design. It has a touchscreen to see the call status and control different options. Also, it has got a reasonably sized footprint considering the size of the other conference phones in the market. The bottom part of this phone is made of polymer and plastic. On the other hand, the top is made of fabric material and a mute button.
The touchscreen panel of the Yealink CP965 Conference phone has got time and date, which is typical of most IP phones. Apart from that, there are different service indicators and Wi-Fi connection statuses. Also, there are many other options like Bluetooth controls, just like a wireless headset or Bluetooth device, call button, history of calls for contacts, browser, messages, microphone settings, recorder, notifications, etc. Lastly, the speaker has volume control buttons and a back button in the middle to go to the main menu.
Interfaces and Outlets
As is the case with most of these conference-style IP phones, there are not a lot of ports and interfaces on the Yealink CP965 Conference Phone. On the side, there is a USB port along with a key lock. On the back, there is a panel where the screw fits in. The panel can be opened with the screwdriver and use the internet port and PC port.
The internet port can plug in the Ethernet cable for internet connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE). Similarly, the PC port is the USB Type-C port that connects the computer for meetings.
In case Wi-Fi is used, expect to pay a little extra for a separate power adaptor as it does not come included in the box.
