Yealink T56A Review - Microsoft Teams Edition Smart Business IP Phone

Yealink T56A Review – Microsoft Teams Edition Smart Business IP Phone

Yealink T56A Desk Phone ranks among the best phones for smart business and high-level use. As it carries Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business apps alongside other typical desk phone features and functionalities, it is ideal to meet the needs of a high-functioning office or call center atmosphere. Carrying a sleek design, it also integrates multiple software; hence, it can be regarded as a suitable choice for business communication services.

The front of the Yealink T56A Teams Edition looks similar to most of the other T50 series phones. Considering this aspect, one essential thing to notice is that this phone uses the same chassis just like the other models, but because it is a touchscreen, it does not need much hardware functionality such as buttons, menus, etc.

From the interface, Yealink T56A is identical to T54W; however, the phone base has a lot of extra space on the top-left and top-right corners. Also, there are no directional pads on the display because of the touchscreen.

Yealink T56A Features:

Having an easy-to-press and responsive outlook, the buttons on Yealink T56A follow an ergonomic design. Therefore, for someone who uses the dial pads frequently, it can be an ideal device. The receiver of this phone is also pretty self-explanatory.

It is not too heavy and has a little round speaker in between that is traditional to most of the Yealink phones. Although the speakerphone could have been a bit bigger like Polycom or Fanvil phones, it does provide decent audio quality. In short, this model follows the typical Yealink series speaker quality.

On the back of the phone base, we have the Power over Ethernet (POE) port and internet port that can be used to connect to the internet router, modem, fax machine, or computer. Moreover, to connect the base to the power supply, there is a 5V DC adaptor jack. If you get the phone from Amazon, VOIP Supply, or some other online store, the power supply charger is not included so make sure to check that.

You can plug in the handset receiver cord or RJ-9 headset jack on the right back of the phone. There is also a USB port available on the back as a replacement for RJ-9. Connect to Wi-Fi and use the USB port to connect to headsets, chargers, or any USB-supported device. One thing that lacks in this aspect is the availability of a second USB port but it works out pretty fine overall.

Although using the same design as older models is convenient from the manufacturing standpoint, it has brought down the outlook of the Yealink T56A IP Phone because of the extra space above the dial pad. One other thing that raises a question about its design is the absence of the tilt hinge to rotate the screen. So, you cannot fit your viewing angle by adjusting the screen.

Thus, you can get this phone assuming your provider supports this particular series. Depending upon where you get Yealink T56A from, it is priced between $399 and $415. Also, with the Microsoft Teams, Google Play Store, and other kinds of Android capability excluded, this phone ranges between $300 and $375 which is similar to market competitive rates.
